It took almost a decade before Google or others were able to enable these business apps of a mobile OS.

Milinx is Research, Development & Innovation. New ways of applying voice-recognition technologies to applications previously devoid of them.

Advances have been made employing voice recognition command structures for handheld devices and desktop applications, but this promising technology is still in relative infancy. Milinx is exploring improvements to proximity requirements and intuitive voice command structures.

Milinx believes that this is the wave of the future for the human/machine interface and information retrieval.

Our Research, Development & Innovation group felt that simple text-based e-mail had lots of room to grow, and Milinx has acquired a patent pending on voice context e-mail that allows for vocal annotation of text messages. It makes for a more enriching, collaborative and informative experience with e-mail.

On May 15, 2001 Milinx Launches The World's First Fully Hosted Operating System — miDESKTOP

Research, Development & Innovation provided the vision for the miDESKTOP offering, to provide business people with computing solutions that have all of the features of an operating system, but on a fully hosted basis. Full hosting at the Milinx Application Data Center means business people can access their Milinx applications securely through any Internet browser at any time on any computing platform anywhere in the world. miDESKTOP will provide a unified customer profile so when you come back to view your desktop from office, home, anywhere, it will be exactly the same as their last use, and only they will have access to their profile.

Milinx is currently completing its hosted operating system with miNETWORK, a network configuration wizard and administration control; miDRIVE for data storage and permission levels; and miWEBVOICE communications over IP. Import/Export for accounting and address books are being developed for ease of integration with all legacy applications.

Now Available: miDESKTOP is the center of a universe of Milinx hosted software for business, including miMESSAGING (unified messaging), miCUSTOMER (Customer Relationship Management), miSALES (sales force automation), miCOMMERCE (marketing and e-commerce), miCATALOG (product and inventory management) plus other applications that integrate, manage and administer miPORTAL with instant activation of all applications during the subscription process.

The redesigned and upgraded miMESSAGING is now integrated into all Milinx products, providing an even better way to manage messages and thus businesses. All fax, voice and e-mail messages are accessible via a secure inbox, or even by telephone through a personal 1-800 number that is included at no extra charge. miMESSAGING includes e-mail text-to-speech, fax header text-to-speech and follow me messaging.

Milinx is enabling its programs to securely share information to benefit the end user. If a user changes telephone and message settings in miMESSAGING they will automatically be changed in other Milinx programs that use the information. Call Detail Records (CDR) from miMESSAGING will be integrated into miCUSTOMER, the world's first fully hosted CRM application. Also, media on demand such as faxes and voice messages for customers will be accessible through miSALES thanks to this integration. That's because miMESSAGING, like all other Milinx applications at the Milinx Application Data Center, now uses the same Oracle database and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) global directory service.

miSALES provides secure Web-delivered tracking of sales, prospects and commissions; sales forecasting; account management; report generation; scheduling; return on investment (ROI) calculation; and media (fax/voice/e-mail) on demand through miMESSAGING. miCOMMERCE is a full-featured marketing and e-commerce solution with online payment by credit card, meta tags, business directory, tax calculation, coupons and promotions, business exchange management, and report generation. miCATALOG is a complete product and inventory management application and will integrate with the new e-procurement and supply chain management applications when they are released.

Through a financial service subsidiary, Milinx will offer clients extended services such as setting up hosted eChecking and eDebit for e-commerce transactions. Expanding this range as for e-commerce will enable almost unlimited opportunities for market reach.

New online transaction ideas emerge nearly every day as consumer and business concerns over security and ease-of-use are addressed. Milinx is also investigating the potential for some of our own e-commerce concepts, and future announcements can be expected with a branded online gateway called miPay.

In the meantime our financial services section is establishing processes that will extend our online billing and e-payment plans automation.

As computers, the Internet, and online transactions become more ubiquitous, so does high-tech crime and fraud. Corporate entities are concerned about authenticating users, and users have concerns that their personal information remains private. At Milinx, we've tackled the problem from both perspectives.

Milinx has obtained a patent pending for a biometric encryption device that we believe will revolutionize online security. Two key factors make the Milinx device unique:

• It combines both voice and fingerprint biometric input to validate a person's identity, and then encrypts the information input by the user until the data reaches the valid destination.
• The device and encrypting algorithms are completely user and device independent.

This state-of-the-art technology also has a wide variety of possible applications outside of the online world. Multiple users of a single device, such as a cellular phone, could each be billed separately for their usage. Any pay-per-use service will be more secure, and billing tightly controlled. Other applications include ATM, bank-by-phone/web, and traditional point-of-sale credit and debit card authentication.
