First Hosted Desktop Operating System

2001 Milinx Launches World's First Fully Hosted Desktop Operating System — miDESKTOP

Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC, May 15, 2001 — Milinx Business Group, Inc. (OTCBB: MIXBA) announced "The World's First Fully Hosted Desktop Operating System" that its miDESKTOP offering will provide business people with computing solutions that have all of the features of an operating system, but on a fully hosted basis. Full hosting at the Milinx Application Data Center means business people can access their Milinx applications securely through any Internet browser at any time on any computing platform anywhere in the world. miDESKTOP will provide a unified customer profile so when you come back to view your desktop from office, home, anywhere, it will be exactly the same as their last use, and only they will have access to their profile.

ASP & Infrastructure Services: SaaS; PaaS; and IaaS

Milinx Universal OS Database Exchange Framework

The Universal OS or miDesktop used Netscape Crossware and Oracle COBRA technology for the front-end UI.

The backend framework and database schema were replicated for the Milinx ASP applications within the udpated Milinx ASP hosted architecture using Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Cisco and Netscape technology.

The Milinx OS Database XML Exchange Protocol was built into the Universal OS using Oracle 8i PL/SQL.

Milinx is currently completing its hosted operating system with miNETWORK, a network configuration wizard and administration control; miDRIVE for data storage and permission levels; and miWEBVOICE communications over IP. Import/Export for accounting and address books are being developed for ease of integration with all legacy applications.

Now Available: miDESKTOP is the center of a universe of Milinx hosted software for business, including miMESSAGING (unified messaging), miCUSTOMER (Customer Relationship Management), miSALES (sales force automation), miCOMMERCE (marketing and e-commerce), miCATALOG (product and inventory management) plus other applications that integrate, manage and administer miPORTAL with instant activation of all applications during the subscription process.

The redesigned and upgraded miMESSAGING is now integrated into all Milinx products, providing an even better way to manage messages and thus businesses. All fax, voice and e-mail messages are accessible via a secure inbox, or even by telephone through a personal 1-800 number that is included at no extra charge. miMESSAGING includes e-mail text-to-speech, fax header text-to-speech and follow me messaging.

Milinx is enabling its programs to securely share information to benefit the end user. If a user changes telephone and message settings in miMESSAGING they will automatically be changed in other Milinx programs that use the information. Call Detail Records (CDR) from miMESSAGING will be integrated into miCUSTOMER, the world's first fully hosted CRM application. Also, media on demand such as faxes and voice messages for customers will be accessible through miSALES thanks to this integration. That's because miMESSAGING, like all other Milinx applications at the Milinx Application Data Center, now uses the same Oracle database and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) global directory service.

miSALES provides secure Web-delivered tracking of sales, prospects and commissions; sales forecasting; account management; report generation; scheduling; return on investment (ROI) calculation; and media (fax/voice/e-mail) on demand through miMESSAGING. miCOMMERCE is a full-featured marketing and e-commerce solution with online payment by credit card, meta tags, business directory, tax calculation, coupons and promotions, business exchange management, and report generation. miCATALOG is a complete product and inventory management application and will integrate with the new e-procurement and supply chain management applications when they are released.

Milinx applications can be quickly deployed in small to medium sized businesses and have a short learning curve. Their low annual and monthly subscription rates make them extremely cost-effective for businesses. Another advantage is that they are an operating expense instead of a capital cost, and therefore tax-deductible for most businesses. This combined with integration into the world's first fully hosted operating system is taking a big step towards total consumer and business freedom with technology.

About Milinx Milinx develops, hosts, manages, and deploys its proprietary business applications on its Milinx Managed Application Platform (MMAP™) at its Application Data Center. Milinx defined the Systems/Mobile Application Provider (S/MAP) sector, in which businesses deliver infrastructure, access, products and services. Milinx markets its hosted software to channel affiliates, service providers, competitive local exchange carriers, and telephone companies for resale to end users.

Milinx miDesktop Application Universal OS with Data Exchange Protocol

In 2001 Milinx technology included the integration of a Universal OS for all current operating systems with automated data formatting on its MMAP Platform. A similar data technology was not released until 2008 when Google released "open source" the Buffer Protocol as a Data Interchange Format. Milinx was in production in 2001 with miDesktop and Universal Application Data Exchange using Java Beans and Oracle technology with meta-data class mapping.

2008 & 2011 - Android & Chromebook were released many years later without a Universal OS

2008 & 2011 - As the world absorbed the first fully hosted desktop operating system it was over 7 years for Android and a decade later for Chromebook.

It should be noted not only was the Universal OS or World First Hosted Desktop & Mobile OS being released it was also being introduced as a Linux version using Sun Microsystem for Microsoft devices through a Mandrake OS Sun Microsystem integration.

Universal OS Architecture featuring Online Payment Gateway

The AssuredCredit Web Portal was in development from 1998 as an Intranet and launched in 1999 as a Web Portal to work in web browser applications. It was the testing ground for the first Merchant Online Payment Gateway technology in 2000. It used Netscape Crossware and Oracle COBRA technology for the front-end UI.

This portal backend framework and database schema were replicated for the Milinx ASP applications within the updated Milinx ASP hosted architecture using Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Cisco and Netscape technology.

Relational and meta database functionality were added for the Milinx miCRM, miCollaboration or SocialCollab and Commerce applications using the Oracle database engine with integration into the Payment Gateway Billing with miBilling.

The portal was again re-engineered as miPortal with Advanced Search & Payment Gateway management functions as a primary user management module with Software Development Kits ("SDK") and Application Programming Interfaces ("API") for customization. miBilling was integrated for Merchant Online Payment Gateway management.

It was being developed for the soon to be released Oracle 9i database engine using Oracle 8i with JDK and Sun Javabeans layer. This updated ASP miPortal with Universal API and toolkit for ASP applications delivered the Universal Hosted Desktop OS with Netscape Crossware and Oracle Cobra framework.
