2001 Milinx to Host Message and Attachment Conversion Service for Wireless Devices - High Speed ASP Wireless Infrastructure Services

Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC, December 7, 2000 — Milinx Business Group, Inc. High Speed ASP Wireless Infrastructure Services move into the rapidly growing wireless sector by hosting and licensing a software service that overcomes the hardware limitations and file format incompatibilities of wireless devices. This imaging translation solution is Universal Conversion Service (UCS).

UCS Licensees include WorldCom Inc., Microsoft Mobile Internet and Cable & Wireless plc. UCS allows any wireless device to receive messages and process them, even if they are Microsoft® Windows® native file formats including .doc, .xls, .rtf, .ppt or .pdf. UCS can also convert faxes and some graphics for viewing on wireless devices. The service even allows users to re-route messages. This includes the ability to forward faxes for printing on a fax machine or fax-enabled printer.

UCS means that wireless telephones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), pagers and laptop computers will be able to display message attachments that they currently cannot. An estimated one billion e-mail messages are sent every day, and more than a quarter of them have an attachment.

The redesigned and upgraded miMESSAGING is now integrated into all Milinx products, providing an even better way to manage messages and thus businesses. All fax, voice and e-mail messages are accessible via a secure inbox, or even by telephone through a personal 1-800 number that is included at no extra charge. miMESSAGING includes e-mail text-to-speech, fax header text-to-speech and follow me messaging.

Milinx is enabling its programs to securely share information to benefit the end user. If a user changes telephone and message settings in miMESSAGING they will automatically be changed in other Milinx programs that use the information. Call Detail Records (CDR) from miMESSAGING will be integrated into miCUSTOMER, the world's first fully hosted CRM application. Also, media on demand such as faxes and voice messages for customers will be accessible through miSALES thanks to this integration. That's because miMESSAGING, like all other Milinx applications at the Milinx Application Data Center, now uses the same Oracle database and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) global directory service.

miSALES provides secure Web-delivered tracking of sales, prospects and commissions; sales forecasting; account management; report generation; scheduling; return on investment (ROI) calculation; and media (fax/voice/e-mail) on demand through miMESSAGING. miCOMMERCE is a full-featured marketing and e-commerce solution with online payment by credit card, meta tags, business directory, tax calculation, coupons and promotions, business exchange management, and report generation. miCATALOG is a complete product and inventory management application and will integrate with the new e-procurement and supply chain management applications when they are released.
