MMAP Universal Platform ASP Applications Launched

Milinx Completes Premier "MMAP™" Universal Platform for ASP Applications Launched

SEATTLE, WA and VANCOUVER, BC August 30, 2000 Milinx Business Group, Inc. (OTCBB: MIXBA) announced today the completion of the Milinx Managed Application Platform (MMAP™). The Milinx Managed Application Platform is supported by premier network suppliers, including Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and iPlanet, a Sun|Netscape Alliance. Milinx utilizes this platform to host, manage and deploy its proprietary and 'best of breed' software applications.

ASP Infrastructure Services: SaaS; PaaS & IaaS

President and Chief Executive Officer Maynard L. Dokken commented, "Milinx has reached a second milestone in its 'go to market strategy.' Along with the recently operational Milinx Application Data Center, this high-performance platform means that we can move faster to track, log and coordinate the delivery of new, custom, and proprietary Milinx software. MMAP™ further secures our position as one of the foremost 'pure play' ASPs in the market today."

The Milinx Managed Application Platform is a robust, scalable, and reliable bundle of solutions enabling Milinx clients to define, customize, develop, automate, and manage business processes over the Web. MMAP™ ensures lower cost of ownership and rapid time to profit based on adherence to an open standard architecture, continuous uptime for critical business applications, and the management of rapid growth through high scalability.

The Milinx Managed Application Platform complements the Milinx Application Data Center clustered environment and features dynamic, fail-safe, advanced application partitioning and enhanced load balancing capabilities. Hosted applications will get an extra performance boost through the use of content caching and connection pooling facilities. Role-based security is provided through access control lists to ensure proper permissions are given to the authorized users.

Milinx Universal OS Database Exchange Framework

The Universal OS or miDesktop used Netscape Crossware and Oracle COBRA technology for the front-end UI.

The backend framework and database schema were replicated for the Milinx ASP applications within the udpated Milinx ASP hosted architecture using Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Cisco and Netscape technology.

The Milinx OS Database Exchange Protocol was built into the Universal OS and Oracle 8i.

Milinx is currently completing its hosted operating system with miNETWORK, a network configuration wizard and administration control; miDRIVE for data storage and permission levels; and miWEBVOICE communications over IP. Import/Export for accounting and address books are being developed for ease of integration with all legacy applications.

Now Available: miDESKTOP is the center of a universe of Milinx hosted software for business, including miMESSAGING (unified messaging), miCUSTOMER (Customer Relationship Management), miSALES (sales force automation), miCOMMERCE (marketing and e-commerce), miCATALOG (product and inventory management) plus other applications that integrate, manage and administer miPORTAL with instant activation of all applications during the subscription process.

The redesigned and upgraded miMESSAGING is now integrated into all Milinx products, providing an even better way to manage messages and thus businesses. All fax, voice and e-mail messages are accessible via a secure inbox, or even by telephone through a personal 1-800 number that is included at no extra charge. miMESSAGING includes e-mail text-to-speech, fax header text-to-speech and follow me messaging.

Milinx is enabling its programs to securely share information to benefit the end user. If a user changes telephone and message settings in miMESSAGING they will automatically be changed in other Milinx programs that use the information. Call Detail Records (CDR) from miMESSAGING will be integrated into miCUSTOMER, the world's first fully hosted CRM application. Also, media on demand such as faxes and voice messages for customers will be accessible through miSALES thanks to this integration. That's because miMESSAGING, like all other Milinx applications at the Milinx Application Data Center, now uses the same Oracle database and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) global directory service.

miSALES provides secure Web-delivered tracking of sales, prospects and commissions; sales forecasting; account management; report generation; scheduling; return on investment (ROI) calculation; and media (fax/voice/e-mail) on demand through miMESSAGING. miCOMMERCE is a full-featured marketing and e-commerce solution with online payment by credit card, meta tags, business directory, tax calculation, coupons and promotions, business exchange management, and report generation. miCATALOG is a complete product and inventory management application and will integrate with the new e-procurement and supply chain management applications when they are released.

Milinx applications can be quickly deployed in small to medium sized businesses and have a short learning curve. Their low annual and monthly subscription rates make them extremely cost-effective for businesses. Another advantage is that they are an operating expense instead of a capital cost, and therefore tax-deductible for most businesses. This combined with integration into the world's first fully hosted operating system is taking a big step towards total consumer and business freedom with technology.

About Milinx Milinx develops, hosts, manages, and deploys its proprietary business applications on its Milinx Managed Application Platform (MMAP™) at its Application Data Center. Milinx defined the Systems/Mobile Application Provider (S/MAP) sector, in which businesses deliver infrastructure, access, products and services. Milinx markets its hosted software to channel affiliates, service providers, competitive local exchange carriers, and telephone companies for resale to end users.

SOAP & XML Developer's Guide

2001 - Using The Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), a lightweight, XML-based protocol for exchanging information in a decentralized, distributed environment Milinx is able to combine SOAP-based requests and responses with a transport protocol, such as HTTP, and turn the Internet into a medium for applications to publish database-backed Web services, such as used in the MMAP and SMAP Platforms.

How this technology works for on our platforms is detail in the Oracle SOAP & XML overview in this link

2008 & 2011 - Android & Chromebook were released many years later without a Universal OS

2008 & 2011 - As the world absorbed the first fully hosted desktop operating system it was over 7 years for Android and a decade later for Chromebook.

It should be noted not only was the Universal OS or World First Hosted Desktop & Mobile OS being released it was also being introduced as a Linux version using Sun Microsystem for Microsoft devices through a Mandrake OS Sun Microsystem integration.
