Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC, September 29, 2000 — Milinx Business Group, Inc. announces that Tantalus Communications Inc. has been selected to accelerate the integration of SMAP Mobile App Standard Cross Platform Functionality with Universal ASP Connect and future wireless functionality for Milinx proprietary applications that are being developed for business.

Milinx is an Application Service Provider (ASP) hosting software at its Application Data Center and renting it over the Internet on a subscription basis, reducing business costs for conventional in-house software and hardware.

Tantalus will work with the company to speed the integration of Extensible Markup Language (XML) into Milinx applications. XML is an open standard for defining data elements on a Web page. The HTML currently in wide use defines how elements are displayed, whereas XML defines what is actually inside those elements. The effect of this is to allow the elements of Web pages to act like database records, thus supporting almost infinite combinations of business transactions. XML is the leading format for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) over the Internet.

Milinx will also call upon the expertise of Tantalus to integrate Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) into Milinx applications. XML Web pages use XSL to format style sheets, master page layouts used to show and maintain correct formatting on whatever device is being used including wireless telephones and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).

Milinx has selected Tantalus for its ability to fast-track application development. If a user changes telephone and message settings in miMESSAGING they will automatically be changed in other Milinx programs that use the information. Call Detail Records (CDR) from miMESSAGING will be integrated into miCUSTOMER, the world's first fully hosted CRM application. Also, media on demand such as faxes and voice messages for customers will be accessible through miSALES thanks to this integration. That's because miMESSAGING, like all other Milinx applications at the Milinx Application Data Center, now uses the same Oracle database and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) global directory service.

miSALES provides secure Web-delivered tracking of sales, prospects and commissions; sales forecasting; account management; report generation; scheduling; return on investment (ROI) calculation; and media (fax/voice/e-mail) on demand through miMESSAGING. miCOMMERCE is a full-featured marketing and e-commerce solution with online payment by credit card, meta tags, business directory, tax calculation, coupons and promotions, business exchange management, and report generation. miCATALOG is a complete product and inventory management application and will integrate with the new e-procurement and supply chain management applications when they are released.
